As a fan of visual novels, I hope people are beginning to see that they can be called video games, and that they're not always about creepily seducing half-naked cat-eared women. While the quality of the game and its English translation is very poor, traced character art and CGs of Nene Anegasaki, from the popular Japanese dating game series LovePlus, as well as the use of several pieces of non-commercial art without the original creators' permission, have made a lot of Steam users voice their complaints on the game's discussion forums.

No matter how good your game is, no one wants to play the same content that many times. I can't complain too much in good spirit because it is a free game and originally started out as a game for forum characters, but, speaking as a critic, this is one of the areas where I would have expected better than I got.

The game contains 5 main character stories (routes) and 3 special stories, with 14 different endings. World War II has a very special place in the hearts of Russians, and the 1940s are a fairly common setting in Russian fiction, video games included. Sadly, some of the other good Russian games weren't as lucky.

So. Overall, you know, I had a really good time with Everlasting Summer. The standout parts of the game are the adventures on foot, which are designed as text quests, the forerunner genre of visual novels. I played the game in both English and Russian, but you definitely don't have to play in both languages in order to get the full story or anything like that.

She can be seen in some of the game's artwork, but she only appears in the story after very specific conditions are met, requiring more than one of the story's endings to be completed. We also urge any developer to carefully consider any partnerships with the company, given how they treat the games under their publishing branch.

I still haven't played that many visual novels outside of Zero Escape and Ace Attorney, and it doesn't seem like this one would be interesting enough to warrant a playthrough, to be honest - especially if the ending is disappointing and the characters are either bland or memorable for the wrong reasons.

Despite the show of goodwill towards any prospective buyer, SakuraGame has never gone back to improve any of the third party titles they published, leaving them in the same messy (and sometimes unplayable) state they were initially when they first appeared on Steam.

ES does however hold an edge on the others being the most unique in a couple ways, so even if it stays on the top of my somewhat short "played VN's" list, i wouldn't call it a favorite and opinions change with time. I played some scenes in the dead of night, and I got really creeped out and a little scared because of the music.

Anyone who wants the chance to experience the fun of being at a theme park without having to leave the house is sure to have a lot of fun playing Summer Funland. I don't want to spoil the story, because otherwise there's no point in playing it, but you play as a character named Semyon.

Summary : Everlasting Summer is a visual novel from russian developers that offers very sincere and bright emotions about the days past and hopes yet to come true. Stuck in this Camp with Him trying to get out or Interact with the Characters around him. In addition, Kimihiro Abe received the opportunity to create two FunnyGameplay noteworthy compositions, the tropical guitar-led "Villa of Everlasting Summer" and the playful Sakimoto-influenced "Rapids of Clear Autumn Water".
